“Barnett Hill Hotel presents a curious mix; the grounds undoubtedly impress, hinting at an upscale experience which the interiors don't consistently deliver. While aspects of the service shine, particularly in the bar, some operational hiccups detract from the overall stay. Its potential as a wedding venue seems stronger than its appeal for a luxury getaway.”

I had a wonderful stay at Barnett Hill Hotel, which is not only dog-friendly but also boasts stunning grounds and excellent accommodations. The peaceful atmosphere was a perfect retreat, and the service from the staff was impeccable. Nonetheless, the food options during my stay could use some improvement, especially for those with dietary restrictions. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'm definitely looking forward to returning.
Rooms
8.0
The luxury king room we stayed in was brilliantly spacious and very clean, although being on the ground floor meant it was a bit stuffy without the option for air conditioning. A fan would have improved the comfort level significantly.
Service
10.0
The staff was extremely polite and eager to make our stay memorable, going above and beyond by even walking our pet while we were out.
Location

The hotel is perfectly situated away from the hustle of city life, providing a serene setting that is incredibly beautiful and ideal for a relaxing getaway.

While the food was of good quality, the limited menu options for dinner and breakfast, especially for those avoiding red meat, were a bit disappointing.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel. On one hand, the location is absolutely beautiful, and I found the grounds quite charming. On the other hand, the service was somewhat inconsistent, and I encountered some issues within the room that left me wanting more for the price I paid. Overall, it has potential, but there are areas that need significant improvement.
Rooms
6.0
The room was quite charming but had a very shallow wardrobe that barely accommodated my luggage. Additionally, it tended to get quite hot, even with the fan provided. Attention to detail was lacking, as the television, towel rail, and bathroom extractor fan were all non-functional.
Service
7.0
The staff was very helpful and polite throughout my stay. However, I noticed they struggled at times to manage their duties efficiently, especially during dining service. It created an atmosphere that felt a bit frantic.
Location
9.0
The location is truly beautiful, with lovely gardens and ample space to enjoy outdoor activities. Despite some weather related challenges, my experience was enjoyable thanks to the scenic setting.
Dining
7.0
Dining was quite satisfactory, but my room service experience left something to be desired. I ordered a burger and chips at a high price, which didn't really deliver the quality I expected. I did enjoy the outdoor option on nicer days, but overall, the food experience could be improved.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offers quite a few charming facilities, although I felt some areas could use an update. The tranquil surroundings were pleasant, but I wished for more organized recreational opportunities.

However, the service had its flaws, especially with the dining experience during afternoon tea, which was underwhelming based on my expectations. Overall, it feels like the hotel has a lot of potential but could use some improvements in certain areas.
